I dream in colors; bright, vivid, intense colors.  They tell emotional stories of surreal adventure and carry strange feelings. Often, they stay with me for days rolling around in my head, haunting me until I sit down to paint; and then I begin.   
Most of my paintings are either imagery from these strange dreams or they capture the feelings in them.  I use lots of deep swimming colors, each shade intended to carry a feeling. I paint faces.  I believe faces carry entire worlds in each expression and give as an anchor to the human experience. I honestly believe our dreams contain all of our fear, hope, desires, and imagination. Thusly, as a reflection of my dreams, my paintings are exactly these things as well. Everything I am, everything I feel swims in those faces and colors.
